Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Brazil Travel Insider collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use Safe Travel Brazil.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who is the data controller

The data controller is Brazil Travel Insider, sole proprietorship of Eduardo Pinheiro de Azevedo (business registration in progress, Brazil). Contact: contato@safetravelbrazil.app.

2. Data we collect and why

We collect: (a) account data — name/e-mail and login credentials — to create your account and give you access to the guide (legal basis: contract performance); (b) usage and device data — pages visited, language preference stored locally, IP address and device identifiers — for security, fraud prevention and product improvement (legal basis: legitimate interests); (c) support messages you send us (legal basis: legitimate interests / consent); (d) contact-form messages. Payment data (card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card number.

3. Who we share data with

We share data with: (a) service providers/subprocessors that operate the service (cloud hosting, authentication and database infrastructure); (b) Stripe, our payment processor, for payments, fraud prevention and receipts; (c) professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary; (d) authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers, retention and security

Your data may be processed outside your country (including in the USA and EU) by our infrastructure providers, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations (e.g. tax records), after which it is deleted or anonymised. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.

5. Your rights

You have the rights granted by the law of your country, which may include (LGPD/GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Brazil, the ANPD). We respond within one month. To exercise any right, write to contato@safetravelbrazil.app.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use only essential storage: your language preference and safety checklist progress are saved in your browser's local storage, and the login session uses essential authentication cookies/storage. We do not use advertising or third-party marketing trackers. You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings.
